Sunrise Apple
The variety originates from Canada and is one of the relatively new so-called resistant varieties because of Vf gene. The pedigree is (Mc Intosh x Golden) x PC 7-3-120.
The tree is medium rapidly growing with open crown. The dividends are regular and large. The variety requires thinning. Scab resistance due to the Vf gene is broken, why the variety is not recommended for private gardens.
Blooms early.
The fruit is small to medium. Medium red, ca. 25-40% topcoat. The flesh is crisp and juicy with a nice tart sweet flavor.
The apples can be picked from the end of August. The shelf life is short. Optimal eating quality in Week 38 - 41.
Sunrise is an early eating apple with high quality. |
