The variety is named after Nisaba, a Sumerian goddess from 2000 to 3000 years before our time. Nisaba was the goddess of innovation, fruit growing, agriculture and writing. The Sumerians grew apples and understood how to copy varieties via root cuttings. The tree grows moderately. There is no scab on the apples. Fruits is very much attached to the branches. In 2018, the core is turning brown August 20th. In a normal summer, it will certainly mature from the beginning of September. The size is medium to large. The base color is greenish yellow. The cover color is red and covers 75% of the apple. The lenticels are bright in relation to the tire color. The apple is crispy and juicy with sweetness and acidity. |
